Hub motors (front or rear) may be mounted higher or at the same height as the mid-mount motor. While the center of gravity is about the same height, having a front or rear hub will move the center of gravity to the front or rear.
Secondly, the electric bicycle should be able to ride normally by manpower even when the motor is not working, and use the front/rear motor electric assist bicycle to overcome the reluctance of the hub motor when riding by manpower.
Compared with the front or rear motor electric assist bicycle, the motor of the middle motor electric assist bicycle is located in the middle and lower part of the frame. Since the weight is near the center of gravity of the bicycle, the impact on the balance of the whole bicycle is relatively small, and the resistance to human riding is relatively small, and the speed of the motor can be adjusted through a mechanical transmission. The mid-mounted motor has a good sense of control, and at the same time has a large torque and fast acceleration. When the vehicle is running fast, it can play a role in front and rear balance. This also enables the mid-motor electric assist bicycle to adapt to more road conditions.
The motor in the middle of the bicycle can transmit the power to the transmission system through the chain, so as to realize the power switching between high torque and high power. It can switch to high torque output when climbing hills and heavy loads. It can switch to high power output on flat road.
Hub motors are motors that are built into the axle and cannot be connected to a transmission system. So the torque and power are fixed and cannot be changed by the transmission system.
